Your question is ambiguous. If you meant the Android instance max size, it is 4GB. If you meant the network connection capacity, I get good performance with a 25Mbps connection; you probably could get by with less. If you meant the memory on your desktop or laptop, I would think you could run a single modest instance on a 4GB machine. I have 13 defined instances and run up to 3 at the same time on a 12GB RAM HP laptop with an AMD A6-7310 APU. File storage is another matter. I use, including space for a couple backups, around 200GB of disk space.

  1. Uninstall Bluestacks using control panel.
  2. Install BlueStacks_HD_AppPlayerPro_setup_REL.exe
  3. After it intstalls Bluestacks will run. Quit out of it as soon as you can.
  4. Install BlueStacks-ThinInstaller_0.7.0.722.exe
  5. It will Update...

Now everytime you run it you won't experience the crash (I havn't)

Optional:

Install the UI GO Launcher EX to get access to all your Apps and Advanced Android Settings..

Hope this helped :)

You can also:
Apparent success. After numerous remove/reboot/install cycles, I seem to have a stable beta-update system at least from the "Loading..." issue perspective.

The sequence I followed was:

  1. Remove Bluestacks via the Control Panel.
  2. Reboot
  3. Install the original beta
  4. Re-sync selected apps from my phone
  5. Test apps, shutdown Bluestacks and restart Bluestacks several times.
6 Shutdown Bluestacks (including stopping related processes and services using the Task Manager) .
  6. Install the beta-update and reboot
  7. Test apps (several worked that did not work on the original especially those that needed a mic)
  8. Stopped and restarted Bluestacks several times with no "Loading..." problem.
  9. Hibernated and resumed a number of times with no problem
  10. Shutdown and restarted several times with no issues.

If you can't install Bluestacks, it's most likely that there are services running. Please open Task Manager (Ctrl+Shift+Escape / right click on taskbar > Task Manager) and locate running applications starting with **HD_***. Right click each one and kill it, then you can install Bluestacks.

Maybe about 6 days ago my BlueStacks crashed while I was on Instagram. It was frozen for a long time & I finally clicked the "X" button, then tried to restart it again and it has been saying just "Loading.." ever since. I have un-installed it using Control Panel and re-downloaded an older version with the blue screen, then a newer version with the black screen & rebooted my computer several times. But nothing is working, it still says "Loading.." I tried leaving it up loading over night, but it usually restarts the whole computer. I've been searching for ways to fix it but it all says: "Download the new version", but I did that already. So does anyone know how to get it to load correctly? Maybe, install or uninstall something?

You will need to completely uninstall the application and the remaining registry keys, folders and files. Proceed to uninstall BlueStacks in the old fashion way, then use CCLeaner or any other cleaner to remove the remaining registry files. You will need to delete BlueStacks folder from C:\ProgramData\BluestacksSetup and download a fresh copy of the software. I can assure you it will work. If the uninstallation procedure will ask you about saving the data, choose NO and proceed.

It says Activity Apps isn't working and force closes. I'm trying to get on Kik , but it doesn't load. I don't want to uninstall it because I won't be able to see the messages. Please help, it worked fine before.

Answer by Stephen Prastman

This usually happens because of a file system error or corrupted cache system. Please clean the system with a cache leaning application that you can find on the market. If you have not seen the messages because the application crashes, you can uninstall and re-install it because the messages were not marked as seen and when the applications starts you will receive them.

I need to read and write using Arabic characters. The language options does not contain Arabic language.

Can you help me?

A
Answer by Alex Urbach

You cannot write in Arabic because BlueStacks does not have it installed. I suggest you browse through the market and install one of the following programs that will enable this language input for your applications.

Bluestacks player is working just fine in Windows XP, except that you will have to install .NET 2.0 and .NET 4.0 since it's a required component for this application. If you already have the previous version installed, make sure to delete it (folders, registry keys, remaining files) then proceed to installation. Latest version is also recommended for installation as it fixes previous bugs.

The BlueStacks requires at least 2 GB of RAM to run properly. The reason behind your slow system performance is that the application requires a high amount of RAM. Try closing down all running applications while BlueStacks is running.
